How Much Does it Cost?
We aim to offer funded places for all eligible children. Please visit the nursery page of your choice to see if funded places are currently available.
What is funded childcare?
Funded early learning and childcare is free to parents, but funded by the Scottish Government. You can get up to 1,140 hours of funded early learning and childcare a year (around 30 hours a week in term time) if your child is 3 or 4 years old. You may be able to get more funded hours in your area or access them earlier as the Scottish Government is adding more funded hours.
Visit your local council’s website to find out what is available in your area.
You can choose to use your 1140 funded hours with more than one nursery, this is called a split or blended placement. For families requiring more than 1140 hours of childcare, additional hours are available to purchase. This is called ‘wrap-around’ care.

Minimum Session requirement
We do not operate a mandatory minimum number of sessions at Willow Den. If there are individual factors impacting this requirement which need to be considered the team will discuss these with you directly.
Fees are calculated on an annualised basis to give 12 equal monthly instalments and a due monthly in advance by the 7th of each calendar month
Additional ad hoc sessions will be invoiced at the time of booking. These should be booked directly with the nursery manager and are subject to availability.
Fees remain payable for periods of absence (Holidays and Sickness) as the child’s place is kept open and staff and associated costs continue to accumulate and be met by the nursery.
A 10% reduction in fees is allowed for the eldest child only, there is no discount available for subsequent children. The discount is applicable only on the eldest child’s core hours and does not include extra ad hoc sessions.
